Flexible Furniture for Our Flexible Learners

Help me give my students some special items in the classroom including a markerboard table and wiggle stools to set them up for success after enduring academic and social-emotional setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

My Project

Anyone can tell you that pandemic has severely affected our students academically. I have numerous students struggling to meet grade-level standards. I am asking for a whiteboard kidney table to help meet the diverse needs of my learners. We will be able to easily collaborate by writing our ideas directly onto the table for all to see. Around the new table, students will get to have that much-needed social interaction that they were deprived of during distance learning.

What I have also noticed is that some students are having intense emotional outbursts, and I am sure the pandemic is at least partly to blame for those.

With the wobble stools, hopefully some of those students will be able to proactively satiate their sensory needs. I am also asking for calming tools to help them regulate their emotions when they become overwhelmed in class.
