Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The majority of my students are low income and have little to no access to learning resources outside of the classroom.They have a desire to be challenged and engaged in their daily activities and require the necessary tools to achieve their best performance.
Most of my students are comprised of first-generation Latino students who have big dreams for their future and hope to be the first in their families to pursue a higher education.
My students wish to see themselves reflected in their curriculum and books throughout the school year. I would like to provide my students with as many quality resources as possible in the classroom to ensure their success.
My Project
I want to provide healthy, fun and flexible seating options for my fourth grade students! Wobble chairs are proven to help students with ADHD stay on-task while still allowing movement throughout the day and avoiding distraction to others.
Students spend many hours in the classroom and the traditional metal chairs are both uncomfortable and unhealthy for students' spine.
The wobble chairs are proven to provide students with a comfortable, healthy and fun seating option to help them stay focused during the long school day. A much better alternative for the student's spine and sanity, I hope to provide wobble chairs to help them succeed!
