This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hello and welcome!

I am lucky enough to teach a classroom of 25 energetic kindergartners!

My students are so eager to learn and always strive to do their best.

This Title 1 school does not have all of the resources these children need to experience the best learning environment possible.

These little bodies need to be constantly moving and engaged in their learning.

Many of my students come from low-income homes. I would love to be able to serve my students by providing them with the chance to use flexible seating to explore learning at their own level and meet their individual needs.

My Project

If our class project is funded my students will get to utilize flexible seating. Some of the flexible seating options I would like to provide to my students are wobble chairs, balance ball seats, and floor chairs.

Having seating that caters to little wiggly bodies will help meet their needs and improve their ability to learn.

Teaching kindergarten is so much fun because the students are always moving and eager to learn. My goal is to create a learning environment in my classroom that supports the learning of my young students. Flexible seating is an addition to my classroom that will benefit my current students and future students.
