My Students

My student are energetic 8 & 9 years who love to learn and move. They are consistently moving and grooving as we learn. We are from a small coastal community in South Texas. This year they have been through a devastating hurricane, made new friends with displaced students and still pushed through to get through the year on a positive note. They love to learn while standing up, laying or sitting on the floor, rocking back in forth in chair.....just moving to keep their brains going!

My Project

My students are always tipping and falling out of their seats! They tend to need other choices besides the floor or standing to help keep them focused on their learning. Student would be more comfort and less distracted with more choices of seating. School will be more enjoyable and students would be engaged in their learning more if they had another choice than the old fashion chair, standing at their desks, or sitting on the hard floor while reading, writing, or listening during the day of school. Choice gives students more choice on how they would like to sit while learning! The wobble chairs will give students more choice on how they learn. Those active kids will have something for their body’s to be doing while their brain is learning.
