Help me give my students an environment that encourages movement and active learning. I want my students to have choices like Wobble Chairs, seated cushions, or a chair with bouncy bands to support their learning.
My school is embedded in a family-oriented, low-income, high expectations neighborhood. My students are dedicated to learning and even more so to developing relationships.
Our student body and faculty strive to create a unique, dedicated and loving family-style atmosphere.
We are a dual language learning school so we aim to encourage biliteracy. Many of our students this year have been redistricted so they are nervous about their first time at our school.
My students are empathetic, eager to learn and ready for first grade! They deserve the absolute best and that is exactly what I plan to do. This population of students is near and dear to my heart.
In First Grade, the expectations are high. With your help, I can provide an environment that will engage my students in a way that a standard classroom cannot. I firmly believe in active bodies results in active learning.
My students will develop the autonomy to determine what seating they need in order to be successful.
It is with your support that I would be able to provide standard chairs with bouncy bands that help those who need to constantly be kicking, wiggling or feel the resistance on their feet.
The seated cushions will provide a more comfortable alternative and double as a balance disc. Wobble Chairs of course help develop the necessary core muscles our students are lacking the direct effect their academic endeavors.
