Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My first grade classroom is a room full of eager and kind students. The students range in age from six to seven years old. My school is located in Nevada in a very high need neighborhood. Our school is an elementary STEAM academy where our students are encouraged to invent, explore and be creative. They are inquisitive and have a real joy of learning. My students are always eager to come to school, and take great pride in their work.
My Project
First graders have a ton of energy, and sometimes need to move around in order to meet their learning needs. Wobble seats and cushions can help students focus and keep them on task and engage in creative thinking throughout the day.
Our classroom has a very exciting, engaging atmosphere.
In order to help our classroom run smoothly, we required organizational tools. Book bags help bridge the gap between reading at home with parents and reading at school. Since we have so many fun materials and exciting subjects to learn about, classroom organization is very important! We appreciate the support in creating a classroom that supports our learning needs.
