Flexible Fifth Graders: Personalized Learning Space
Help me give my students alternative seating options where they can learn in an inviting environment. Wobble chairs allow students to move while they are working.
My students are creative, passionate, dedicated, hard-working, and determined individuals. They love learning. I would love to be able to incorporate more spaces where students can work. In order to meet students where they are and personalize instruction we need to be able to move into the 21st century. I want students to find the classroom as a place they love coming to everyday and where their best learning can be taking place.

My Project
Flexible seating is geared to meet the needs of each individual learner. Students are able to choose what work space works best for them. I want to provide opportunities for all kids to show the learning in a classroom environment that is comfortable and inviting. I currently have purchased a futon couch and stools for students to use during independent work time, but not all students will have the opportunity to utilize flexible seating. With your help we can engage more students by giving them choice of where they want to work. Research shows having a choice in seats makes learning more fun and engaging. Our world is changing and the classroom has to change too.
