My Students

As a Library Media Specialist, I interact with every student in the building throughout the year. During this pandemic both our students and our staff have been adaptable and eager to engage with their learning! They have explored, attempted, and achieved utilizing a variety of new techniques and resources to teach and learn to the best of their ability. It has simply been amazing to watch them all grow during such a difficult time!

Teachers and students often need flexibility to teach and to learn, especially now!

Bridging the gap between traditional learning/teaching and what is now required is no easy task, and it requires a variety of options to technology users at every level. While many of our community members are well informed about the tools available, others struggle with the restrictions some of these older devices provide- the inability to see images clearly without much light, inability to be used on a Chromebook, and being limited to camera use only on a Chromebook.

My Project

Most document cameras limit their use to the desktop computer nor do they always assist with clear recordings, however, these document cameras are very different!

These document cameras are flexible in both their stand and in their use!

They can be used on desktop computers, as well as, teacher and student chromebooks. Teachers can use them from anywhere in their room to present and work through lessons, and students can also use them to project examples from their desks to the board and record presentations with ease. Multiple lights and a microphone assist with recordings for virtual days or mini lessons to look back on. There is no software required, so transfer from classroom to classroom is easy and user friendly.
