My Students
It’s the start of a brand new school year, and that means another group of kiddos will be walking into my classroom. I have not met them yet, but I know that each of them will bring a special something to our classroom family.
To help cultivate their individual learning style and personality, I would love to incorporate more choice and ownership to our classroom.
Giving them the power to choose way they want to learn and interact with their peers would be HUGE! Whether it’s picking a spot for math, read to self, or writing or even making an affirmation for a friend, student choices are beneficial. I’m excited to see what this year will bring for my kids!
My Project
Having some flexible seating choices available last year was a HUGE hit in the classroom. The simple use of fuzzy mats, homemade crate seats, and rockers helped students take ownership in their focused learning. With your help, we can add to the flexible seating selection that this group of kiddos will have.
My goal is to get rid of more chairs and allow more seating that enables movement while working.
The purchase of four wobble stools and cushions would make this happen! This will not only help out the kids, but it will also allow for more learning space in our classroom. Plus, flexible seating that allows students to move is a safer choice than tipping back in their chairs.
Please help out these amazing kiddos by giving them the choices they deserve!
