My Students

The students that I will have the privilege of teaching are excited and eager to learn. I am looking forward to helping my class become proficient readers, scientists, and critical thinkers. My students come together with a wide range of reading levels, experiences, and backgrounds.

Despite their many differences, the eagerness to learn is present in every student of mine, and I am determined to provide them with as many experiences as possible.

I have realized that by having interesting books, they will enjoy reading. As fourth graders, they show such enthusiasm for learning, and they need a fully equipped library, hands-on materials, and supplies to nurture that desire, and to keep learning exciting.

My Project

My classroom is based around an environment where each child has a personalized space to learn. Sitting at a desk in a traditional chair doesn't work for all my students. Some students like to move, sit low to the ground, or take materials to a carpet spot, I have selected the materials in this project for this purpose. Wobbly stools and bean bags are one way my students can choose their learning space. The mobile organization cart will help them have a space to store their learning materials when they work around the room.
