Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have 20 energetic second graders who love to learn but need to move! To help these awesome learners, we keep our class active. From math learning stations to science lessons that take us to the playground, we are on the go!

My classroom has 20 talented and gifted students who inspire me to be a better teacher.

They are constantly thinking outside of the box. I want to provide them with the education they deserve in a classroom that promotes active learning.

My Project

Have you ever sat in a position that's uncomfortable? It's difficult to focus, right? Not everyone enjoys a traditional classroom desk. Flexible seating allows students to find comfortable positions throughout the classroom.

Comfortable students are calm, focused, and productive students.

Physical activity increases brain function and academic performance. The ball chair engages core muscles, improves balance, and students love to bounce when they have excess energy. The floor chairs allow students to rest their back while sitting on the floor. The wobble chairs, you guessed it, they help with the second-grade wobbles and wiggles.
