I work in a small, Title 1 school in a rural area. My classroom consists of 20 students who come from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. My students work very hard and are eager to learn.
In my classroom, I strive to create a sense of family and love.
We spend our time supporting one another, learning new things, and having fun all the time.
As their teacher, I want to make sure I do everything I can to support and encourage them. I want to provide all of my differentiated learners with materials that will help them to succeed. Any of these materials would greatly benefit the students and would be truly appreciated!
Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. My students will have options such as bean bags, wobble stools and cushions, giant pillows, and many more. The wobble cushions will enable students to sit on the floor with comfort to support their back.
Storage bins would allow my students to carry their favorite books with them to whichever seating option they think suits their learning style best.
This will help my students to stay organized and responsible for keeping their work space clean.
The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices as well as a place to store books that are interesting to them. I am so excited to watch my students grow as individuals and learners with the changes coming to room 6!
