Help me give my students opportunities to work collaboratively to build social and academic skills. These supplies will allow my students flexibility in seating and supplies to provide flexibility in their learning.
This year I have entered into a new grade level and a new school. I have loved getting to know my new students and creating the best possible atmosphere for each of them to learn in. When students enter the room, it should be welcoming and comfortable. I hope that, with help from the donors here on Donors Choose, I have begun to create that. I have gotten to know my students this year I have found that they are self advocators who are learning what feels comfortable for them and what their bodies need to learn.
A big part of our learning day is constructing our knowledge through play, social interactions, and exploration.
We have been working to build a collaborative community where all students feel valued and honored.
My Project
Students in my classroom learn in many ways throughout the day. I believe that students learn through social interactions and construct meaning as they interact with the world around them.
These supplies will allow flexibility in seating and in the way lessons are taught, allowing students to learn in ways they will be successful.
White boards and smart pals allow students to be more interactive and mobile during a lesson. We will use the dice for a variety of math games. Other games will give students opportunities to learn about taking turns, interacting with each other in positive ways, losing and winning, and having fun screen free.
