My students are an amazing and incredibly diverse set of learners. They come to me with a variety of home life experiences, ethnic backgrounds and socioeconomic levels. Every student at my school is provided with free breakfast and lunch and the majority of my students are English language learners. For many of my students, school is the only place in their lives that provides the consistency, support and security that children need in order to grow and learn. They all have something wonderful in common, though. They come to school to be loved and to learn.
School is a place where my students find a sense of security, love and learn to trust.
Love from their teachers and peers enables them to open their minds to embrace learning and develop a growth mindset. It is so inspiring to see the joy of education shine through in children who have so little but appreciate so much!
I want to create a warm, inviting classroom space with these vibrant seat cushions and flex balls so that my students are excited to come to school every day to learn together. The majority of my students live in high poverty and having a bright, comfortable learning environment to walk into every day will inspire them to leave their worries at the door and be the person they aspire to be. The flexible furniture can be used as desks, on the carpet in small groups and to create cozy reading and working areas throughout our classroom.i also need a teacher chart stand.
My students come to school not only to learn, but also to be loved.
I want them to feel important, worthy and capable. The magnetic picture frames will help students feel a sense of ownership and pride when they walk in their classroom. All of these resources are to promote collaboration for my students to learn and grow as positive thinkers and problem solvers in our daily academic learning adventures.
