Mrs. Emerson from Meridian MS is requesting flexible seating through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need flexible seating options in order to better accommodate their exceptional needs as well as assist them in focusing. Ultimately, the alternative, flexible seating will helps them better succeed in their academic studies.

Inclusion is such a rich, vast educational setting that helps students look beyond their disabilities and themselves with endless possibilities.
“Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or in the same way.

We are a part of school family who strives to implement excellence through academics, arts, and social skills in Pre-K through 5th grade. We develop and prepare students for life by exemplifying learning beyond the classroom, more real life application, and ultimately help them to become productive members of society. These goals are achieved through building strong relationships, offering differentiated instruction, and collaborative, effective communication among all stakeholders involved.
The days and times are over for classroom environments to be traditional and routine. Seating students in rows and columns is no longer effective to their academic success.
Giving students options, like wobble chairs and floor seats, has been proven to be more beneficial.
Flexible seating will allow students to choose their seating preferences as well as engage more active in their studies. Students will enjoy the classroom instruction while learning to embrace and accept that their differences make them stronger.
Furthermore, it adds accountability as students can become more accountable for their learning if they are in an environment that they can feel welcome and empowered to learn successfully and effectively.
