This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students do not come from the wealthiest families. They do not have the best things. They are low-income, immigrant families, mainly from Spanish speaking countries. They work hard and care about education.

We live in NY and go to a NYC public school.

They try their best every day. The students all get free lunch and most of the supplies they have are the basics. Pencils, paper, book bags and the supplies needed for daily school life. I try to supply as much as I can to lift the burden of money from the families.

My Project

Earlier this year I got a project funded for a small table and chairs to be used as flex seating for students to do work. It has worked so amazingly I cannot even tell you in words. My students ask, crave and always want to sit and do their work their. I am asking for another table and chairs so I can allow more students work in a comfy place. The more the students are comfortable and relaxed, the better they will work. By funding the flexible seats and table you will be granting students the freedom of choice. They choose their seat, they choose their learning.
