Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a busy, active, creative class that loves to learn. Hands-on learning can be messy and take longer than paper pencil, yet the results and comprehension are worth the time.

Poverty should not define them and the situation that a child finds themselves in.

My students are from the projects with a 78% free and reduced-price lunch rate. We can find a common ground for all students and that is creativity. I have seen students thrive by giving someone a finger knitted scarf, complete with tassels. Pride in a creation is magic in itself. When students are confident in themselves with one thing, that confidence grows into other aspects of their lives.

My Project

As a Title I school the focus over the past few years has been getting tons of book in the hands of the students. My room is overflowing with books, while this is a great problem to have we need book shelves. Shelves on wheels is even better!

Organizing our books and the treasure that makes our books come alive is our goal!

We love book collections and are currently finishing up Goosebumps. Student writing has also improved by adding R.L. Stine's "Twist" element.

Classrooms are a busy space, helping them be organized, helps the students with their literary journeys.
