My Students

Students come into my classroom excited and ready to learn. Most students are new to the English culture, so every day we are learning new things academically, and socially.

My class is composed mostly of those who are ELL; they are visual and hands-on learners and they show great passion for exploring new things.

We are a Title I funded Charter School where all our students receive free breakfast and free lunch every day when they walk into our school doors.

My Project

My classroom is a flexible seating classroom and my students do their learning at desks, clipboards, low tables, standing tables, and lap desks.

My students who will be learning at the lap desk station need a designated and comfy place to sit on the floor with their lap desk.

This carpet will be a great addition to our room as it will bring comfort and organization. If students are not comfortable in their learning environment, learning is difficult and counterproductive. Please consider donating to our project to help create a comfortable and productive learning environment in our first grade classroom!
