My Students

Kindergarten lays the groundwork for students in the areas of their academic and emotional well-being! It is a time where they are learning to get comfortable in a classroom setting. They also begin learning all of the foundations for academics and how to appropriate interact socially with both peers and adults.

I have been teaching for 8 years.

I teach kindergarten Special Education. I push into general education to support students as well as teach small or individual groups to help students with their specific learning deficits. During a given year, I service anywhere up to 15 students in my classroom at different points throughout the school day.

My Project

I would like to purchase a half moon table for my room. The way this table is laid out, it will allow me to be physically closer to my students (the one I currently have is large and round). My room/office is also fairly small - so it is imperative that I utilize my space as efficiently as possible so that I am left with more space to store other materials for students as well space for visual aids.

The flexible seating allows my special needs students to get the movement they need to help them stay focused while they are learning.
