This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students come from a variety of backgrounds. They have hearing loss, vision loss and/or physical disabilities and range from ages 3-5. They are a determined group who will make great progress this year with the help of donors like you.

These students learn best from a variety of teaching methods such as hands-on learning, direct instruction, and modeling.

It is crucial that we give the children multiple ways to learn and the best opportunity to meet their sensory needs.

My Project

My students need a new table and chairs to accommodate our growing numbers. This table will be used as a flexible seating option throughout the day as well as a new center area. We recently received funding for a new whole group carpet, so we want to take this opportunity to continue to move our classroom forward.

Center time is crucial for proper development in the early childhood setting.

This table will allow us to create a new center that enables students to work and play collaboratively. It also opens up a new area for small group instruction to be held.
