Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are an energetic and diverse group of first graders. They are culturally, socially and economically diverse but embrace their individual strengths and work together to grow as a community of learners. These kiddos are eager to help each other everyday and love to be busy.
My hope is to provide my students with a flexible seating space that ensures a safe, comfortable and engaging classroom while meeting their needs to move as they explore and learn.
My Project
An uncomfortable student is a distracted and unproductive student.
Flex seating will provide my students with the opportunity to discover how each of them learns best.
It encourages kids to find their best spot and be their best learning selves. Flexible seating empowers students in their learning by providing them with the ability to choose how they learn best.
First grade can be a very challenging school year.
Help me make those challenges more enjoyable for these deserving children at BRS. I am confident that with your help my students and I can create an active and engaging learning environment that will feel warm and welcoming to all learners.
