My Students

I have a class of 6-7 year old first grade students with the kindest hearts. They have tons of energy and are full of personality. They come to school everyday willing to work hard and learn all they can.

We are a very low socioeconomic school district.

We are a Title 1 campus. All of our students are fortunate to receive free breakfast and a majority of students receive free lunch. Our students are glad to come to school because they know they will be fed and loved and listened to.

My Project

My students have been enjoying the flexible seating we currently have in place. This project will allow more students to benefit from the movement allowed by flexible seating.

These materials will enhance an already popular flexible seating choice available in my classroom.

I would like to add more wobble stools as they are the most chosen seat. The desk band replacement is needed to replace a well used broken band. I can utilize the clipboards with seats that we have in the classroom. This will give students extra places to work that are not always desk-bound. The freedom to work around the classroom helps students pick a place that works best for them.
