My Students

I am happy and proud to serve 31 of the 125 6th grade students at my elementary school. These 31 students are incredibly diverse in every way possible! My class is a combination of high achievers, average learners, as well as Special Education students all in one room! The common denominator with this group of students is how incredibly committed they are to learning, persevering, and treating each other with kindness. They are, truly, a gift to each other and to me!

My Project

These flexible seating balls will give my students the opportunity to work in their comfort zone. Students are not stationary learners, and these balls will allow them to flourish without feeling restricted to the confines of a chair.

Flexible seating has been proven to be a component of a successful classroom environment.

The ability to move freely and allows oxygen to also move freely and brain function flourish.

These flexible seating options would be a gift to all students that get a chance to use them, year after year, in my classroom. These ball chairs would also help set my classroom in the right direction for full flexible seating.
