Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The resilience shown by my students is unmatched. To stop and consider all they have gone through in the past two years amazes me each and every day as they come to our class and put their drive and determination into each day. For many this school year marked the first back in a physical classroom after virtual learning for over a year. Social and academic needs have been met with the excitement of returning to “normal” for these students. For most students the uncertainty of the past few years has caused significant social and academic needs.

The requested flexible seating options will greatly enhance social emotional and academic needs in our classroom.

With spacing limitations still being followed for safety the use of flexible seating and availability for all students is crucial. With this option for all students in the classroom academic learning can be enhanced by the benefits found within the use of flexible seating options. These options allow students to tackle academic and social needs in a way that helps to calm, relax, and keep their young minds and bodies active. Flexible seating options are currently limited within our classroom and the addition of these materials will allow all students the option to make use of the benefits they offer.
