I teach K-1st grade in an inclusion class for students with social behavior disability. I love that my students are working very hard to manage their behavior and social skills.
My students are wonderful, smart, and very loving.
They have good days and bad days but once redirected, they are ready and eager to learn. They absolutely love hands-on, active, and engaging projects. As a special education teacher, I love seeing the face of a child when they learn something new. My students are truly one-of-a-kind!
My Project
The books I have requested will help build my student library. Every student is different. They all like different genres of books and they all read at various levels. The books in this project will give our class a lot of fun options for independent reading time.
Flashlight Friday will take reading time to a whole new level!
Students will be able to choose a comfy place to read in the classroom, books of their choice, and grab a flashlight. We will dim the lights and enjoy reading in a fun, new way. The students look forward to Flashlight Friday every week!
