I have a class in a public school of very kind 9-10-year-olds who are very excited about math. Our class is in Texas in a growing district with a mixture of family types. These kids are experiencing new technology in our world around us. These stacking stools, dry erase supplies and flashcards will create an inviting math and science classroom all year long. Math and science centers can help improve skills and fluency speed and will use this seating.
It's important to help these students better their math skills now, and these supplies for centers will help motivate participation and encourage mastery.
I am lucky enough to have kids that say they like math & science. One thing that gets them excited about learning is centers and activities.
"We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths" - Walt Disney.
My students are working on their fact fluency.
Having these flashcards and fun seating options would invite these children to learn and participate in many ways. Having classroom centers in math and science is a new concept for some of my students. It's part of my job to promote learning and engagement. Seating options with the stacking stools are a way students get very engaged. You can't close the achievement gap you have to work on the opportunity gap.
