My students need medicine balls to work on muscular endurance and aerobic fitness. Classes are constantly moving based on space issues, so medicine balls are the easiest way to take fitness on the move.
My students are from a Title 1 School in North Philadelphia. Most are living in a single parent, grandparent or foster parent home. I teach grades K-7 and interact with every student. They are curious, have lots of energy and always eager to try something new.
We are in need of fitness equipment that can be easily moved due to our space constraints.
We are looking for medicine balls to build muscular endurance and work on aerobic fitness. These medicine balls can be used by students in any grade and will help introduce weight lifting and cardio circuit training movements to our students.
Medicine balls will be used daily in Physical Education class. They will be part of the warm up each day.The medicine balls will be used to introduce basic lifting exercises like bicep curls and over head presses.
Students will learn muscular endurance exercises by lifting the medicine balls.
Balance and cardio movements can also be completed using this equipment. Students will get an exciting introduction into the world of fitness by using these fast paced, simple activities in class. Medicine balls will be a great way to introduce life long fitness goals to all students at a very early age.
