My Students

Today's high school students are in desperate need of intervention when it comes to positive health and wellness behaviors, and our students are no exception. We need to get kids moving and help them see the value of developing healthy habits now so that when they graduate they can continue to practice these habits. Several of our students come to us overweight and with a lack of understanding about the health related components neccessary to develop a personal fitness plan. Within our PE and Lifetime activities classes, we are encouraging our students to become more physically fit and develop healthy behaviors in order to make positive changes within their lives!

My Project

Using the Fitness for Life textbook, we have designed slides and videos to educate our students on the importance of healthy behaviors! The current projector we use in our PE department is 15 years old and does not have an HDMI output. Therefore we are limited to the devices we can use to teach our students.

The new projector will give us the opportunity to better educate our students during instructional time in our PE classes by projecting slides and videos on the wall so students can complete worksheets and study guides on important fitness and wellness information.
