My students need more opportunities to read and have various forms of literature to learn to read. These books such as: Eyewitness Nonfiction Readers, I Can Read! Readers and Lakeshore Fiction Sight-Word Readers will help them reach their reading goals.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are wanting to learn and grow in reading. We do daily routines which enables them to have opportunities to read aloud, sit at the guided reading table with the teacher, and partner reading .
My students are located in an urban area and are considered low SES.
Our entire school is on free and reduced lunch. My school supports a reading environment and promotes reading at home and at school, but the students do not have access to materials.
My Project
I will use the books in my reading rotational schedule to help promote reading. The students will use them at the guided reading table. The students will also use them when they read to self and reading with a partner. Having a variety of books will promote self-selection.
My project will make a difference by helping the students develop a love for reading and learning.
The more books they can read the better readers they become. This will help them learn to love reading. These books can and will make a difference in the classroom and at home.
