This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a Title 1 School in Galt, CA with many low income students who are hardworking and motivated to learn. Students are energetic and competitive and full of many strengths and working on a culture of kindness. Many families speak Spanish at home and are at various levels of reading and language development.

We are a TK-6 School filled with amazing students and are committed to personalized learning and ensuring that every student succeeds and meets their own personal goals to showcase their strengths.

My Project

Everyone is smart in different ways. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life thinking that it’s stupid.” (Lynda Mullaly Hunt, Fish In A Tree) My students would gain so much knowledge, skills, and character from reading about a student with dyslexia who struggled with reading and learned that labels did not define her and that the world is full of possibilities.
