My students need Runtz ball chairs and Bouncy Bands in order to wiggle, bounce, and move to enhance their focus and learning without distracting others! Thanks for considering my project.
First graders enter my classroom each and every day ready and excited for new learning experiences both academically and socially. The smiles that light up on their little faces during our morning meeting, when I tell them that it's center time, during guided math or literacy, and as we research all areas of the curriculum are amazing to watch.
The growth that first graders can achieve in one school year is unbelievable when taught in an environment that meets their needs on their specific academic level.
My firsties live in a suburban community where they come to school ready for anything that they may be presented with! My classroom is full of diverse learners varying from children with special learning needs, ENL learners, and children achieving above grade level.
My Project
My students need to not only exercise their brains, but move their bodies as well. Anyone with young children knows that kids NEED to move. This is of the greatest challenges I face in my classroom today.
With these ball chairs and bouncy bands, the students will be able to wiggle, bounce, and move safely without distracting others.
Expectations and work loads have increased and the desks and setup of most classrooms have remained the same. I pride myself on taking chances in my classroom by using tables and moving them constantly, allowing them to stretch.
I would like to be able to do this more by offering my first graders different seating choices that they will help them to focus and learn their best! I think I would be the luckiest teacher if I could offer this to my students. Thank you for considering this project!
