My Students

First Grade is life! My students are my heart! I love to introduce them to new things and ideas. They are like little sponges. They absorb everything and want to know more. They are constantly asking questions and sharing experiences with one another.

I want to give my kids every opportunity to succeed in this life.

My school is truly a community and I am so lucky to be a part of it.

My Project

I moved to first grade after 8 years in kindergarten. I am trying to build a classroom library. I am in need of books that first graders like to read.

One of the main things that I have heard from parents is they wish they had more books at home for their children to read.

I plan to use these books to create a check out program for students to be able to en

With this project I would like to put books in the hands of my kids to help them continue their love of reading.

I also requested a Teacher Pay Teachers gift to purchase educational resources, like book studies to go with the books that they receive and math units to go along with the first grade content.

I would like to get them pencils, pens, markers, crayons and scissors so those that don't have access can still create. The cardstock is for me to make them centers and activities to supplement instruction in the classroom.

The Osmo base and coding awbie as well as the building stars will help them develop their building skills.

With the use online programs for both math and reading in the classroom, the children make so much noise with their iPads and Chromebooks. It is essential that we have access to headphones.

The medals and trophies are to reward them for AR points, leveling up in Lexia and mastery of key first grade skills.
