Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am a first year teacher, and I want the best for my students. I am trying my hardest to buy everything I need for my classroom, but it is becoming overwhelming.

My students come from low-income families and most cannot afford basic supplies.

There are about forty students in a class. And I want to have everything I need to be the best teacher I can be for them because they deserve that.

My Project

My school does not have document cameras, and with one, modeling to students will be much easier. I know how important it is for students to see good models and for teachers to do things along with students. My project also contains the basic supplies of the classroom, like hand sanitizer and Kleenex. I also have snacks added to my project. A lot of my students may come to school hungry, and I want to be prepared for that.

I want to take care of my students and make my classroom a safe environment.

With this project, I'm one step closer to doing that.
