Help me give my students fresh new options for flexible seating, including portable lap desks and wobble stools.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
I am a first year teacher and am absolutely thrilled to have accepted a teaching position for the 2019-2020 school year. I will have my own classroom!
My goal is to create an exciting, safe, and engaging classroom space for my students.
We live in a rural area with limited resources and opportunities for children and families. Over half of the students in our school come from low-income households. Our students are supported, capable, brave, and eager to learn each day.
I am asking for help to fund flexible seating options for my classroom.
As a student teacher, I observed my mentor teachers utilizing "flexible seating" options for students, giving them ownership and individuality in their learning process.
Research reflects some of the immediate benefits of flexible seating including improving metabolism, using up excess energy, and increased motivation and engagement. My goal is to provide a space that encourages active and engaged learning!
Classroom design influences levels of interaction and engagement. Standard desks and chairs situated in rows do not foster open communication and collaboration. I believe that my students will take an active role in their education when they are provided with a choice about where they prefer to complete an assignment. Students know how they learn best.
