Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The 2018-2019 school year will be my first year teaching! I moved across the country to join a wonderful district outside of Phoenix, AZ. I will be a part of the 5th grade team teaching 30 students who come from all kinds of backgrounds. One of my main goals as a teacher is to meet the needs of all these students, and given the right tools to do so, I can help these students succeed and develop their interest and curiosities.
My Project
As a first year teacher, I am building my classroom from scratch! I am looking for items to help me build an organized classroom where students can be successful. In order to do so, I am building a classroom library where books will be sorted by genre/grade level in baskets so they are easily accessible. I am also looking to add storage and flexible seating to my classroom.
My overall goal is to create an environment that is organized and comfortable for my students.
