This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are third graders who are entering the world of reading. They are developing a love for reading. They come from a lower socioeconomic background in the city. This means that not all of them have access to the materials they need, such as a variety of books that are engaging and interesting for them.
Even with all of their struggles, they come to school each day ready to learn!
They work hard to be the best students they can be.
My Project
I took over a classroom in October of this school year, and all of the supplies belongs to the previous teacher. These materials will help our classroom get organized! An organized classroom does wonders! When a class is organized, things run smoothly. Students and the teacher know where things are and where they are supposed to go. This prevents work from being lost, time from being wasted, and unwanted behavior from happening.
An organized classroom allows the teacher to focus on teaching and the students to focus on learning!
Morning routines, paper/work sorting, and transitions are quick and efficient. This allows more time for learning!
