Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 87 amazing students, about half of which are English language learners. They enjoy being challenged, working hard and coming to class each day. Students who are learning English often like to work together. In order to encourage the exchange of creative ideas, I would like to create different spaces for them to work in.
Creating a safe, friendly and inviting workspace for my inquisitive children is a priority of mine.
I would like to make my room more comfortable for students in order to provide them with an exceptional learning experience.
My Project
Setting up a classroom for the first time takes a lot of work! I have already started making my room kid friendly and I am hoping that with your help I can buy the things I need to make a welcoming space for my students. I would love for my kids to feel like their classroom is a home away from home. This will be a place for them to study geological process, rock cycle, water cycle, matter, heat transfer, Earth's history, cells, systems of the body and much more!
I have a nook in my classroom that I would like to turn into the solar system where students can sit and read.
I would also like to create comfortable working stations where students can work independently or together to work on projects and solve problems.
