Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a first-year teacher beginning my adventure on a 5th-grade team in Bridgeport, CT. I am so excited to be teaching Science and Math, however, I realized that I am not supplied all of the tools to do so. My goal is to make every lesson an engaging, interactive experience. I have found that when this is accomplished fully, every student is accommodated and instilled with a passion for learning; paving the way for their educational success.
My Project
I am a first-year teacher working in an urban district in CT. I am so excited to be a part of the 5th-grade team, however, I have no supplies for this age group. The school does not have a budget so everything has been out of pocket. My goal is to be able to make every lesson a differentiated one with plenty of hands-on material so every student will be successful. Coming right out of graduate school, I found it difficult to supply material for my students' needs. In this project, I am asking for non-fiction books, as well as math manipulatives that will be used throughout the year. Thanks in advance!
