Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a first year teacher who has been working in the district for several years, I know that every child can learn, but they do not learn the same way. My students will come eager to learn, so I would love to incorporate flexible seating in my classroom this upcoming year. I believe this will help meet all of my students different needs.
Kindergarten students need to move, and what better than flexible seating including padded stools, and wiggle balls?!
My Project
I would like to start the year off by making my small groups have flexible seating, and little by little incorporate more variety into the classroom.
Working in a Title I school is extremely rewarding because you know that you are making a difference in your students lives.
The Wobble chairs and the Gaiam balance balls will help keep the students focus and engaged in their work.
The items I would like to obtain will help create a comfortable and engaging an environment for the students. I strongly believe that the students will become extremely excited and eager to learn when they use our new "chairs".
