Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students at my school are brimming with potential. Full of excitement, life, and probably some middle school angst, over 150 students will soon enter my classroom for this school year. At least half of my students come from low-income families and have a need for stability and consistency.
They have the ability to change the world.
I know they are our future leaders. The student population is diverse, and they represent the beauty of humankind when they are together. It is an honor to be their teacher!
My Project
Every student deserves a classroom that is ready for them. As a first-year teacher, I am dedicated to making that happen.
Every new teacher starts at ground zero.
Simply put, I do not have the resources at this time to adequately provide a welcoming, efficient space for my students. I do what I can to search for freebies and deals, but those are never guaranteed. I am asking for your partnership in my students' success. Having thought and planned thoroughly about these items, I can assure you they will be utilized for student achievement! I plan to use the plastic drawers to house daily work, pencils to ensure every student will always have one, the folders to staple to a bulletin board for absent work, the laminator to ensure durability for items such as formula charts, and the printer for those last-minute great ideas!
