My students need access to these hands-on STEM activities. This project, if funded, will be used by the ENTIRE school. This includes Kindergarten- 5th grade students.
My students are innovative, creative, and collaborative. They work hard to overcome any obstacles in their way. My students have to work with little resources at home and at school.
Each grade level, each class, and each student brings a unique perspective and skill set to my STEM classroom.
I teach students from other countries, wealthy homes, and non-english speaking families. The diversity displayed in each class is vast. This diversity is a recipe for innovation within collaborative groups in STEM.
My Project
This is the first year my school has a STEM class and teacher- me! We are starting the year off with limited funds and resources. These materials will make a HUGE difference in every student's experience with STEM.
Each grade level (Kindergarten-5th) will have a unique and modified experience with these resources.
I will be able to tailor these materials to specific grade level science and engineering standards. For example- the forces and motion unit for 5th grade students fits PERFECTLY with the marble rails. Students will have to design and build a "roller coaster" for their marbles and will explore Newton's Laws and have a hands-on learning experience to always remember.
