This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As long as I can remember, my dream has been to teach and inspire our children, and my time has finally come! I believe that all students deserve an equitable education, this means having access to all resources possible to ensure this happens.
Fourth-grade students are energetic, curious, and passionate; I cannot wait to meet mine to begin building our family.
I want my students to be able to explore, question, have fun, and succeed, and as a first-year teacher, I need some tools and materials to make this all possible!
My Project
These materials will be used to get my classroom community up and running!
As a first-year teacher, I am starting from scratch, but I want my students to have access to countless materials and resources!
Materials as simple as whiteboards, markers, and hand sanitizer make a huge difference; anything that ensures my students will be able to explore, use their hands, and be successful while staying healthy and happy!
My main philosophy of teaching is simple: love. I aspire to teach with love, and create my classroom into a space where students feel welcomed, capable, and cared for. Simple materials and resources allow this to happen and brighten the days, and futures of all my students.
