My Students

I have yet to meet my individual students but am so excited to be their 7th grade Health teacher! Middle School is a notoriously tough and awkward time, my goal is for my classroom to be a safe haven where students feel comfortable and free to ask questions. This semester students will learn about how to incorporate Health and Wellness into their lives for the rest of their lives. The school I am teaching at is a Title 1 school where most students qualify for free or reduced lunch.

My Project

I am a first year teacher excited to start my journey teaching 7th grade Health! Middle School can be an awkward and challenging time full of changes, both at school and personally. My goal is to create a nurturing and safe environment for my students to feel comfortable.

My students will benefit from these supplies in a multitude of ways: printer and laminating machine will be used to print worksheets and classroom posters, the large post-its will be used for anchor charts.

Since I am a middle school health teacher my classroom will always be stocked with feminine sanitary products for students who unexpectedly get their period, I am also asking for some girl's underwear in case they need a clean pair to change into. The 3D Uterus model will be added to my collection of anatomy models that will help students learn about their bodies. Exercise balls and floor cushions will be used for flexible seating.
