My Students

My students are engaging individuals who are being taught to love learning and strive to become everything they can be. They are all from low to medium income households.

Many of them struggle in one to two subject areas.

They work very hard not just to make a year's growth, but to make catch-up growth as well. Some of them have growth mindsets and believe they can achieve, but many of them have developed a fixed mindset and have to relearn to believe in their own abilities.

My Project

First LEGO League Jr. provides lessons which ignite and inspire students towards higher level thinking and problem solving in science, technology, engineering, and math areas. Students research, learn, and invent ways to solve real-world problems and design a better future for the world!

Offering this program to our students will help develop active, engaged, and excited learners!

This helps them develop real world skills, learn to believe in themselves, recognize their capabilities, and set new goals for their own futures. Using these technological tools, research, and engineering skills, they will hold the power of their own learning in their hands!
