Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Miss, I can't find my writing notebook. Someone stole my eraser! Have you seen my notebook? Where is my colored pencils? My students have trouble keeping their writing supplies together and in good working order. First graders use and lose their writing supplies a lot.
I teach in a high needs school in Florida.
88% of the students at my school are eligible for free and reduced lunch. My classroom has ESOL students, ESE students and students that come from poverty. My students are avid writers and have great stories to tell.
My Project
The folders will work great to hold our writing resources together. They will help my students to keep track of everything they need to be great writers. They have just enough room to hold colored pencils and markers for illustrating, pencil and erasers for writing, and the all important writing notebook. We also need colored pencils, erasers and markers because my first graders write and illustrate often and our supplies are dwindling. We need these materials to keep up our writing and classroom publishing efforts.
My first graders love to write and I put a great importance on writing for my students.
We need supplies and storage to keep our writing workshop going and to keep my first grade writers successful.
