My students need 35 packs of twistable crayons! Our projects and activities are looking quite pale and our crayons are stubby and dull.
This project expired on June 30, 2012.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Do you remember receiving a new box of crayons as a child? I remember feeling the excitement of using new crayons on projects and imagining all the colorful possibilities.
I teach a class of 23 wonderful 6-year-olds.
Most of my students come from low socio-economic families where school supplies are not a priority. Although I hesitate, I do ask the children to bring in crayons in September. Well, we have made it to mid-year with what we have and are now using crayon stubs and peeled pieces to add color to our work.
I am asking for 35 new Crayola twistable crayon packs so that my first graders can brighten their writing illustrations, rainbow write their spelling words, and add color to holiday projects. The crayons will be used in all areas of the curriculum and add excitement to their writing.
Please consider my project and let first graders be first graders.
Children need color to help them understand and appreciate their work. The children need new crayons to bring back the excitement into their work.
