My students need copy paper and cardstock for our many projects, and daily needs we conduct in first grade all year long. During the year copy paper is a must for homework, bell work, & classwork.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have just completed my first week back at school. This is my 4th year teaching first grade. Teaching first grade is a challenge, but also enjoyable. Many of my students this year have not be able to start the year with the supplies they need. I have given them the bare minimum, but first grade goes through a lot of supplies throughout the year. We are in need of your help and generosity to make this year great!
My students will use cardstock for making tools to aid them in reading, and language acquisition.
They will also use the copy paper to complete homework on, and they will use the colored paper to take home important notices and reminders to parents and guardians. This project is vital to our classroom because without paper, my classroom cannot function. We need paper to complete assignments, to make projects and complete them, we need paper to make games and activities to help us learn.
I am excited for this year. My students are going to learn to read, become better writers, and understand principles of math. They will use paper and cardstock in this pursuit.
My Project
For the past two years I have had the privilege of being on the receiving end of your precious and wonderful donations for my classroom. You have done a wonderful job of supplying us with paper and cardstock. Without your help, we would not have the supplies we need to make our classroom a vibrant and busy place of learning and fun.
Most of my students come from homes that help us out in class as much as they can, but parents cannot often help us out with supplies beyond the first of the year.
With your help we are able to have a smooth beginning of the year, and a great finish.
We use paper for homework, announcements, bell work, practice with writing, reading, math, and everything else we do in school. My students love to receive your gifts, and they love to say thank you. I hope you will help us this year with this precious supply.
