I teach in a low socioeconomic Title I school. Our school is located in a high poverty area well known by police officers. Our school offers free breakfast and lunch and works to provide our neediest students with basic survival needs. We have some wonderful families working 2-3 jobs and extending everything they have to ensure their child becomes a 21st-century learner. We do not have a PTA to help supplement classroom resources.
My students come to a school where they hope to learn the life skills needed for them to one day support their own families and community.
I encourage both parents and students to continue their learning beyond the classroom doors. My students are active and appreciative of your donation.
As we all know, six-year-olds can be active! I have a class of twenty-four collaborative learners.
My Project
This project is for a simple tool that I know my little kiddos will utilize and enjoy every single day, floor seats! These cushions come from the teacher-trusted Lakeshore Learning company and come with a lifetime guarantee.
The four requested floor seats will allow my six-year-old students to be able to move around the room and "find the right work spot!"
This project might be small, but so are my students! We work, play, and grow together and I believe these floor seats will offer the kids a spot to work anywhere in our classroom.
Thank you for helping to show my Firsties that people, companies, and organizations from all over the country are supporting their learning.
