Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are at a beautiful school in Pacific Grove, California. My students love whole-brain learning and enjoy meshing foundational skills with exciting project based learning projects when learning social studies and science.

My students love technology and are extremely engaged when working with meaningful technology!

Giving my students access to math, language arts, social studies and science through technology is a wonderful way to accommodate all learners. Technology will play a key role in getting my students college and career ready!

My Project

Additional iPads in the classroom would be hugely beneficial for my students. I use an application called Near-pod to teach math in a whole-group setting. Near-pod is amazing because it gives me instant assessment data, allows me to differentiate instruction, and provides my students with intrinsic engagement and enthusiasm for math that a paper and pencil alone cannot!

The iPads would be used to enhance student learning in the areas of language arts, science, social studies and coding.

My students would be able to use the iPads during independent center time, and would also use the iPads to create multi-media presentations.
