Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at an amazing school in the heart of a quick growing town in a small suburb in the middle of New Mexico. Despite the challenges some of my students face, they love to come to school because we treat each other with love and respect just the same as a family.
Many students face many difficulties in their home life, and find comfort and stability in their classroom.
I try my best to make their educational experience moving forward, with unique ways to embrace education. Setting the classroom to accommodate different learners the priority is comfort and functionality.
My Project
My students come from a very diverse background. All my students have a wide range of learning abilities and various, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. I teach students with language barriers and learning styles. Many students experience the need to move and with differentiated seating students can have that option of having moving while still focused on learning. With new tables and chairs made for their little bodies can help with their work space and help them adapt to their needs of movement which will result in better focus of their learning environment. Students can rotate from a wobble chair to a regular chair when needed.
